The Christopher King Foundation is currently advocating for a stricter seat belt law in Virginia, as the state has the lowest seat belt usage rate in the country, with only 73% of residents buckling up.  Currently tracking HB 2475 which will add all seats to Virginia’s current law.  We also need to increase the fines (it is currently only $25) and make it a primary enforcement law.  See all the stats below:
